Nails (both on fingers and toes) are a "speedy hangout" for fungal infections. Although the problem is prevalent, it doesn’t mean that it’s easy to solve. Fungi are everywhere we go and their effects on one’s body are numerous.
When nails are infected, they look dull. Ultimately, they become fragile and you can actually lose them. Infected nails look not very pleasant and, what is more, their smell is invasive because of the dead nail tissue or fungus. Moreover, it is definitely unhygienic and sick.
Because our barriers’ resistance is strong, it is very difficult to eliminate fungus if it has already entered our body. There are various cures (oral, surgical or topical) that help to deal with fungus. They can be very expensive, though, and if you don’t see any benefits at once, they are not effective even when applied for a long time. Even if they seem to be effective sometimes, the infection may return when you stop applying the medicine. The only exception is Zetaclear, which is very cheap and is efficacious in fungus elimination.
There are some signs of fungus infected nails:
- nails become yellowish or even brownish;
- nails are dull and fragile so you can easily break them;
- nail tips can also be crumbly.
Some tips to prevent fungus of nail:
Firstly, you should switch nylon clothes to natural wool or cotton if it’s possible. Wear shoes that breathe; wash and dry your feet often and thoroughly. Do not share towels as wet cloth is a good bacteria carrier. Do not use nail varnish if you don’t really need it because nail polish is one of the main reasons that cause nail infection. You should do the same if you are already infected. Although there are several options (surgical, topical and through medications) to eliminate infections of fungus, there are some things in your house that can be helpful while dealing with this problem. For example, use a powder to prevent ringworm on your feet if you are predisposed to this infection.
